Valentine’s Day Beauty: Modern Renaissance Review

Written by Izzie Berry

We all have the number one palette we reach for when creating a look. I know I certainly do! So I thought I’d share with you…

The Modern Renaissance palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills has been a cult favourite ever since its launch. The warm colours of red and orange are the perfect shades when creating a seductive look, perfect for your Valentine’s Day look!

With fourteen shades and costing £43.00, it is definitely not cheap, but for me, as I reach for this palette a lot it really is worth the money. Call it an investment if you like. If you’re looking for a palette which will give you so many looks, you should really consider this.

Burnt Orange, the second shade in on the bottom row, is the perfect transition shade to help you build up the end look that you’re going for. Whether it be a subtle warm red, or a bold dark red with a shimmer of gold.

The shades swatch amazingly, they are so pigmented and blend out beautifully. As you can see from the picture the colours match really well, again meaning that you can create so many looks with just one palette!

The palette also comes with a dual ended brush, which is very fluffy and easy to use as well.

The only slight criticism I have of this, is the fact that the packaging is a very soft velvety material, meaning that it can get dirty easily. If you’re one to like to keep their makeup clean and tidy, I would suggest keeping the palette somewhere safe! As well as this, there is a little bit of fall out in some of the shades.

Do you have a favourite eyeshadow palette? Or will you be adding this to your ever growing collection?
