In six questions let us get to know a little bit about Author Amanda Foody the creative mind behind the wildly popular and buzz worthy novel, Ace Of Shades!
First, some background info about Amanda’s hot new novel about family, love, lust, gambling, winning, and losing in the city of sin, Ace of Shades!
Description: Welcome to the City of Sin, where casino families reign, gangs infest the streets…and secrets hide in every shadow
Enne Salta was raised as a proper young lady, and no lady would willingly visit New Reynes, the so-called City of Sin. But when her mother goes missing, Enne must leave her finishing school—and her reputation—behind to follow her mother’s trail to the city where no one survives uncorrupted.
Frightened and alone, Enne has only one lead: the name Levi Glaisyer. Unfortunately, Levi is not the gentleman she expected—he’s a street lord and con man. Levi is also only one payment away from cleaning up a rapidly unraveling investment scam, so he doesn’t have time to investigate a woman leading a dangerous double life. Enne’s offer of compensation, however, could be the solution to all his problems.
Their search for clues leads them through glamorous casinos, illicit cabarets and into the clutches of a ruthless Mafia donna. As Enne unearths an impossible secret about her past, Levi’s enemies catch up to them, ensnaring him in a vicious execution game where the players always lose. To save him, Enne will need to surrender herself to the city…
And she’ll need to play.

Meet The Author
Q: What did you want to be as child? Was it an author?
A: Yep! Ever since I was four. I’ve had other aspirations for second jobs, but I’ve always wanted to write.
Q: What do you use to inspire you when you get Writer’s Block?
A: I don’t get writer’s block particularly often. In fact, I often feel overburdened with ideas and not enough time to write them. I use tools like Pinterest, music, or aesthetics to help me develop my concepts into full stories.
Q: Do you plan your books in advance or let them develop as you write?
A: Plan in advance! I can figure out the dynamics of a scene as I write, but I need an outline to move me from scene to scene. I’m not sure I’d ever finish writing a draft otherwise.
Q: Your top five authors?
A: That is so hard! I suppose J.K. Rowling, Cornelia Funke, V.E. Schwab, Holly Black, and Kiersten White.
Q: Coffee or tea?
A: Tea! I don’t like coffee.
Q: Which character in any of your books (Ace Of Shades or otherwise) is dearest to you and why?
A: Probably Enne, the female lead in Ace of Shades. I really wanted to write a female character who was both strong and feminine, and at the time, when warrior girls were especially popular, I faced a lot of rejection because of it. Now it’s so precious to me when readers tell me they loved Enne and connected to her character, because for so long, it felt like no one would.
