With eight servings a pop, it’s bound to put a smile on every face in the house… Even the toddlers and the elderly who may or may not have trouble chewing solid foods. Never again should you go wrong with breakfast.
- Six large eggs
- One cup of milk. (Preferably whole.)
- One cup of flour (Preferably white.)
- ⅓ cup of butter (melted.)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Your choice of syrup and pieces of fruit.
What else you’ll need:
- 13 X 9 baking dish (preferably glass.)
- Large mixing bowl.
- Non-stick cooking spray.
- Conventional oven.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Spray baking dish with some non-stick spray. Then, pour the melted butter into the bottom of the prepared pan and set aside.
In the large mixing bowl, beat the eggs on a medium speed for nearly two minutes. You’ll want them nice and fluffy. Add in the milk, flour, vanilla, and salt, then continue beating again until smooth. Make sure to scrape the sides throughout the beating process to ensure everything gets mixed well, and no chunks are left clinging to the sides of the bowl.
Next, pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly over the melted butter. (I like to swirl it in), the butter will float to the top so you can see it’s evenly dispersed. Bake for thirty five minutes, or until golden brown all around. Lastly, top with your choice of fruit and syrup and enjoy!!!
*Note* Use the oven light when checking to see if your Perfect German Pancake is in fact browning. Do not open the oven door while it’s baking. Opening the oven door will cause the pancake to fall, and it won’t rise into its intended fluffy goodness.
